  1. Use short words, short sentences and short paragraphs. Try to minimize the use jargon/buzzwords.
  2. Always check grammar and punctuation
  3. Double check the “I” statements, you’ll be surprise how many times the “i” sneaks in your writing.
  4. Be brief– Who are you? What’s the purpose of your email?
  5. Have a Call-to-Action! Why are you reaching out? Or why are you following up? Try to always end with a question to generate an action from the reader.
  6. If it is an important email, get someone else to proofread it before you hit send.
